A death doula assists a dying person and their loved ones before, during, and after death, providing emotional, physical, and spiritual support, as well as education and resources for honoring and implementing the final wishes of the dying - everything from the pain-free passing at home and after-death body care to determining appropriate options for alternative remains processing and the planning and execution of ceremonies and rituals for honoring the life of the deceased. chelsea works with and advocates for Patients in this setting over several days, weeks, or even months to support everyone involved in achieving a peaceful and harmonious end of life experience for the Patient and their loved ones. SHe can hold space, offer physical comfort in the forms of gentle touch (massage or energy work), offer spiritual care and guidance in the forms of Illuminations, Soul Retrievals and prayer, and offer assistance in planning and executing the dying wishes of the Patient.
